I’m uploading my pictures to Flickr. You need an invite to view my pics, so if you know my email address, go ahead and ask me. I’ll be happy to invite you to come see.
Don’t know my email address? I probably don’t know you.
Hi.
I read your “Article” on what the meaning is behind the saying “No woman, no cry”. In the article, you say that Bob Marley’s song is a “not-too-great hit”. Why would you try to carve the image that Bob Marley is not-to-great into your reader’s minds. Thats not very professional. Also, you say that Bob Marley has terrible grammar. I don’t know if you realize this but he grew up very very poor. His mother didn’t even have enough money for his shoes. So you can imagine how well he was educated. It’s not fair for you to make fun of someone’s education like that if they didn’t have enough money for one in the first place.
Jeremy,
Thanks for the thoughtful comments, though I’m slightly confused about why you put them on my Photos page rather than the actual article to which you refer, which is here.
I took some of your comments to heart and slightly emended my original post. All I wanted to say was that due to Marley’s cultural background, I had a hard time understanding what he means in the song. I did not alter my opinion of his music because it’s my opinion, and everyone should feel free to agree or disagree as squi will. He’s a talented musician who is world famous, but his music isn’t my bag.
Thanks for your thoughts.
